Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in traffic control and safety, including direct crew work and formal industry training, preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of supervisory or management experience in a field operations environment, preferred.
• Deep understanding of state regulations for traffic control devices and materials.
• Strong financial literacy, including the ability to read and manage balance sheets and profit and loss statements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; experience with Viewpoint software preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to quickly assess operational challenges and exercise independent judgment to implement effective solutions.
• Proven ability to manage customer and municipal relationships, including permitting, compliance, and project notifications.
• Active involvement or willingness to engage with industry associations, coalitions, and state DOT collaborations.
• Experience managing branch-level staffing, scheduling, and performance in a high-demand, fast-paced field operations environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee branch production, budgeting, and financial performance, including revenue recognition, forecasting, and profit and loss reporting.
• Manage crew scheduling, labor needs, and equipment deployment across remote locations to meet customer expectations efficiently.
• Professionally interact with municipalities and customers, manage project notifications, secure permits, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with estimating teams on capacity planning and critical path issues to support effective project execution.
• Assess employee capabilities, contribute to hiring and termination decisions, and ensure proper training and development of all branch personnel.
• Maintain oversight of all safety requirements, including DOT and industry compliance standards, and lead by example in promoting a safety-first culture.
• Plan and schedule projects to maximize operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness, ensuring all project paperwork is completed accurately and on time.
• Manage procurement of materials, oversee billing processes, and maintain accurate revenue forecasts in coordination with accounting teams.
• Serve as the branch representative in interactions with customers, agencies, and industry associations, maintaining a professional company image.
• Remain available for high-demand scheduling needs, including evenings, weekends, and emergency project requirements, and travel as needed for project oversight.
