Job summary

FC Traffic Control, LLC is seeking an Operations Manager to lead a busy branch in Texas. You will oversee daily field operations, supervision of Supervisors and Traffic Control Technicians, and coordination of scheduling, dispatch, and safety compliance.

The role drives efficiency, budgets, and service quality while maintaining safety standards. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in traffic control or construction operations with leadership experience, a strong communications skill set, and the

Qualifications

• 5+ years in traffic control or construction operations, with 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Traffic Control Supervisor (TCS) certification preferred but not required; candidates without this must obtain within 60 days of hire.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, etc.).
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends, holidays, and emergency shifts as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and field staff, including scheduling, dispatch, and job assignments.
• Supervise and support Supervisors and Traffic Control Technicians.
• Conduct performance evaluations and manage coaching, discipline, and terminations per policy.
• Hire, train, and mentor field staff; promote teamwork and accountability.
• Facilitate regular team meetings on safety and company updates.
• Monitor and improve operational efficiency using defined metrics and standards.
• Oversee maintenance planning, equipment readiness, and field traffic control setups.
• Approve payroll hours and ensure accurate project data.
• Oversee safety audits, toolbox talks, and training needs.
