Job summary

Alpine Tree Service is seeking a Field Operations & Equipment Supervisor to coordinate daily field activities, ensure crews have the required people, equipment, and information, and serve as the main contact for customers and the COO. This role blends yard work with field leadership to maintain safety, efficiency, and quality on every job.

You’ll monitor progress, adjust plans as needed, and support crews with timely decisions, while upholding Alpine’s standards and documenting day-to-day

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or coordinating field crews, preferably in tree care or related industries.
• Strong organizational, scheduling, routing, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to coordinate multiple crews and manage changing priorities throughout the day.
• Hands-on knowledge of basic landscaping, property repairs, equipment, or general maintenance.
• Knowledge of how to safely operate a chainsaw and blower.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to communicate professionally with field employees, leadership, office staff, and customers.
• Comfortable using a smartphone, email, scheduling software, and basic reporting systems.
• Valid and insurable driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to report to work early when operations require it.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to lift, carry, bend, climb, and perform physical work as needed.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and organize the daily schedule for multiple field crews.
• Determine crews, equipment, vehicles, tools, and materials for upcoming jobs.
• Monitor safety, quality, efficiency, and customer experience at active sites.
• Communicate daily assignments and schedule changes to crews.
• Act as the liaison between COO, field leads, crews, and customers.
• Resolve scheduling, equipment, customer, and site issues as they arise.
• Ensure safety procedures, job specs, and property-protection standards are followed.
• Inspect vehicles and equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Safely operate basic tree-care and landscaping equipment as needed.
• Perform minor property repairs and restoration from fieldwork.
