Job summary

Hilcorp Energy Company is seeking a qualified Oilfield Operator to monitor wells, operate pumps and valves, and maintain accurate production records in our Texas field operations. The role requires strong safety practices, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and adherence to SPCC and company procedures.

Daily tasks include recording gauge readings, maintaining equipment, and reporting results to the office.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or GED or equivalent.
• Demonstrates safety awareness and reliability in field operations.
• Proficient in basic math and everyday computer tasks.

Responsibilities

• Gauges and records tanks and gas meters.
• Opens and closes valves and tank hatches.
• Inspects equipment for safety issues and recommends repairs.
• Reads gauges to determine flow rates and oil inventory.
• Operates pumps and communication devices.
• Maintains logs and reports daily measurements.
• Shuts down equipment during emergencies per supervision.
