Job summary

Aqua, Inc. is seeking a Field Supervisor to oversee staff operating and maintaining water (well) and wastewater systems owned by Aqua NC within our North Carolina footprint.

The field supervisor will also manage the operation expense budget and smaller capital projects for those systems. Responsibilities include supervising staff and contractors, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance, coordinating with engineering and management, and building partnerships with utilities and local agencies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years in construction, budget administration.
• Minimum 3–5 years in a supervisory role.
• 3–5 years in water/wastewater utility experience preferred.
• Must obtain NC water Class B‑Well and Wastewater Class II within 24 months of hire.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Supervises utility workers, facility operators, and contractors; sets high performance standards and coaches staff.
• Oversees operations, maintenance, and regulatory compliance of the Central Western Division’s remote well sites and wastewater systems.
• Schedules and tracks daily activities; collaborates with other groups to meet work demands.
• Manages the Central West Division distribution system, including replacements and repairs; ensures regulatory compliance.
• Maintains databases and supports reporting on compliance-related activities and data submission.
• Represents the company in meetings with utilities, municipalities, and regulatory agencies.
