Job summary

Union County, NC is seeking a Utility Technician Supervisor to lead a crew in Water & Wastewater Operations. The role includes maintenance, meter work, CCTV inspections, and emergency responses, with emphasis on safety and regulatory compliance.

You will supervise staff, coordinate with billing and customer service, and ensure reliable water/sewer service across the distribution system. A CDL-A with Tanker endorsement and water operator certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, with relevant certifications preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise crews and enforce safety standards.
• Experience with water/wastewater operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and trains staff in equipment operation and safety.
• Monitors performance and enforces safety and operating standards.
• Maintains records, prepares reports, and coordinates with Billing/Customer Service as needed.
• Operates and maintains water/wastewater systems and CCTV equipment as required.
• Responds to emergencies and oversees maintenance of water/sewer infrastructure.
