Job summary

Aqua, an Essential Utilities company, seeks a Facility Operator to support water production facilities, wastewater treatment, lift stations, and the distribution system in the Wimberley area (Kyle, Maxwell, San Marcos).

Under supervision of the Field Supervisor, you will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment, perform routine water quality analyses, and ensure compliance with state and federal standards while supporting a 24/7 operation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License is required.
• Licensing: C Water or C Wastewater FO I/II/III as specified; dual licensing applies.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain water production facilities and booster stations.
• Operate and maintain wastewater treatment facilities and lift stations.
• Operate sewer collection systems and pump stations.
• Troubleshoot and repair service piping and related equipment.
• Perform routine water quality analysis per procedures.
• Adjust processes to comply with water quality standards.
• Adjust chemical treatments to meet standards and calculate dosages.
• Close and document work orders and maintain system records.
• Perform tasks safely according to policies and laws.
• Assist with other tasks or projects as assigned.
