Job summary

Aqua Illinois, an Essential Utilities company, is seeking a Field Supervisor to oversee the Northern Division's water and sewer distribution systems, including budgeting, staffing, and compliance. You will manage a 12+ person team and coordinate with engineering to ensure projects meet specifications and deadlines.

The role requires at least 3–5 years in operations and supervisory experience, along with IEPA license within a year and a valid U.S. driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent is required.
• 3–5 years of experience in operations, utilities, and/or construction are required.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience is preferred.
• IEPA Class D Distribution license must be obtained within 1 year of eligibility to supervise the operation and maintenance of the distribution systems.
• Valid U.S. Driver's license is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise a workforce of 12+ non-union staff and plan maintenance activities.
• Create an energized work environment and coach staff to address performance issues.
• Maintain databases and provide reporting on compliance activities (hydrant flushing, valve exercising, meter testing).
• Manage capital and operations budgets and ensure budget adherence.
• Collaborate with area engineering to ensure projects meet specifications and timelines.
• Represent the company in meetings with township, county, and state entities for project coordination.
