Job summary

AMH is seeking a Field Manager to lead and develop a team of Field Technicians across assigned properties. You will supervise, train, and quality-check maintenance, turns, and repairs to ensure safe, clean, and functional homes for residents.

Responsibilities include coaching, performance feedback, and ensuring timely, cost-aware property maintenance with strong attention to safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED, with additional technical training a plus.
• 1–2 years of supervisory/lead experience preferred.
• Minimum six years in residential/property maintenance or related field.
• HVAC experience and EPA certification preferred where applicable.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office; iPad experience preferred.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Guide and train field technicians to improve performance and safety.
• Oversee Tenant Turn process to align inventory with company standards.
• Inspect ongoing work to ensure quality and compliance with specs.
• Maintain status updates in CRM and Yardi systems.
• Process mobile work orders within set timeframes to satisfy tenants.
• Respond to after-hours emergency service calls when on call.
• Perform minor self-work using tools and ladders per procedures.
