American Homes 4 Rent, LP is seeking a Field Technician Maintenance to perform repairs, troubleshooting and maintenance at AMH properties. You will ensure HVAC systems run effectively and handle carpentry, drywall, roofing, and fencing tasks as needed.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, 2+ years in residential maintenance (5 years if no degree), a valid driver's license, and EPA/HVAC certification where required. OSHA knowledge and strong communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED preferred; higher education is a plus.
• Minimum two years in Residential/Property Maintenance or five years if no degree.
• Valid drivers license required.
• Familiar with basic hand and power tools.
• HVAC experience and EPA/HVAC Type II certification in applicable states preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Provide troubleshooting for water heater, plumbing, garage door, irrigation, and electrical issues.
• Perform repairs including carpentry, drywall, roofing, and fencing.
• Ensure HVAC systems are operational and perform tune-ups.
• Keep all equipment clean, organized and functional.
• Update mobile work orders from the maintenance center within timeframes.
• Engage with vendors and tenants regularly.
