Job summary

American Homes 4 Rent is seeking a Resident Maintenance Supervisor to oversee a team of Field Schedulers and Resident Maintenance Specialists within an assigned territory. This role ensures efficient maintenance coordination to satisfy residents and maintain properties across the territory.

Responsibilities include hiring, scheduling coverage, coaching, tracking metrics, reviewing vendor bids, resolving escalations, and leading cross-team meetings to meet business goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or five years of progressive responsibility in a maintenance/call center environment preferred.
• Experience in leading teams required.
• Scheduling/Dispatching experience highly desirable.
• Understanding of the construction, maintenance, and/or property management industry essential.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Strong planning, organizing, negotiating, and leadership skills.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Solid customer service, quality, and results orientation.
• Ability to interact effectively at all levels and lead cross-department projects.
• Willingness to work weekends, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a team of Field Schedulers and Resident Maintenance Specialists, including hiring and onboarding new members.
• Ensure proper scheduled coverage of the team to meet organizational needs.
• Monitor team performance and conduct coaching or development sessions.
• Communicate objectives and oversee metrics with the team to achieve outcomes.
• Review vendor bid submissions to meet expectations and asset needs.
• Provide support to resolve issues and ensure timely completion of work orders.
• Lead meetings aligned with seasonal and operational trends.
• Collaborate with departments to complete all service needs in the territory.
