Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Foreperson to lead daily crew operations, coordinate with management, and enforce safety protocols on job sites. The role focuses on training, mentoring, and ensuring efficient completion of authorized work.

You will oversee field activities, communicate with customers, and maintain equipment and records while promoting strong safety and DOT standards compliance. This is a hands-on leadership position in a field environment.

Qualifications

• Understands drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, and equipment.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities are required.
• Strong organization and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to work independently in field conditions.
• Must safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Capable of wearing and using PPE; manual tasks may involve overhead work.
• Weight restrictions apply due to equipment capacity.
• No fear of heights; willing to travel for storm work.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily crew work from orders given by a supervisor.
• Conducts field training and retraining for crew on new or revised units.
• Enforces safe work practices per policy and OSHA standards.
• Discusses access, outages, and work scope with property owners/customers; refers complex cases to supervisor.
• Obtains permission from property owners to perform required work.
• Maintains good customer relations through quality work and professional crew behavior.
• Investigates minor incident or damage claims as needed.
• Keeps accurate crew records, timesheets, and reports.
• Monitors crew costs, manpower use, and equipment efficiency.
• Furnishes reports of completed orders, units, and crew time to supervisors.
