Job summary

VIP Petcare is seeking an Assistant Field Operations Manager to oversee field offices and clinics, coordinate staffing, and maintain operational excellence. The role includes leading teams, ensuring adherence to procedures, and driving partnerships with host locations and outreach groups.

The position requires hands-on field presence, ability to travel 20–30% of the time, and strong communication skills to align operations with company standards and patient care commitments.

Qualifications

• Experience with pets and handling various temperaments is preferred.
• Knowledge of basic Human Resources principles, basic accounting/mathematics, and operations management with best-practice implementation is required.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is required. A post-secondary degree is preferred.
• Any suitable combination of education and experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage field office operations, facilities, and inventory.
• Assist with recruiting, hiring, training, disciplining and evaluating staff at a location.
• Oversee office and clinics as directed.
• Build relationships with host location staff and outreach groups.
• Coordinate with Field Operations Manager to ensure consistent service delivery.
• Collaborate on business opportunities at partner locations.
• Represent brand and values with partners, clients and staff.
• Communicate marketing programs to staff and ensure materials are available.
• Travel to community clinics and headquarters as needed to drive business.
• Support weekend clinics and on-call shifts.
