Job summary

Gray Construction seeks an experienced Site Manager to lead field operations on major construction projects. You will own the on-site activities from mobilization through closeout, coordinate subcontractors, manage safety, and drive schedule adherence.

The role requires 10+ years in construction, strong leadership, and the ability to read plans. The position is on-site with exposure to large markets across manufacturing, food & beverage, automotive, distribution and mission critical facilities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years related construction experience.
• Experience leading on-site field activities from start to finish.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Takes ownership of all aspects of field activities from start up to completion.
• Maintain and track project schedule; create two-three week lookahead.
• Ensure site safety requirements are met and counsel subcontractors as needed.
• Lead, coach and train subordinates in professional site conduct and Gray policies.
• Review drawings and coordinate subcontractor activities to align with project schedule.
• Manage procurement and buyout of subcontracts to meet schedule.
• Oversee project progress reporting on safety, schedule, quality, and budget.
