Job summary

Gray Construction is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead field activities on our projects from startup through completion. You will own safety, schedule, quality, planning, jobsite logistics, and supervise the on-site management team and subcontractors.

Responsibilities include maintaining the project schedule, providing real-time data to the PM/Scheduler, coordinating meetings, reviewing drawings, and ensuring procurement aligns with the plan.

Qualifications

  • Must have a minimum of 10+ years related construction experience.
  • Preferred experience includes overall responsibility for field activities on the project site with collaboration between design, project, and schedule management.
  • Projects are large construction projects in Manufacturing, Food and Beverage, Automotive, Distribution and Mission Critical.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings, financial reports, and legal/contract documents.
  • Strong people management skills and leadership abilities.
  • Familiarity with Gray’s policies and safety program.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of all aspects of field activities from start up to completion, including safety, quality, schedule, planning, jobsite logistics, and coordinating the on-site management team and subcontractors.
  • Maintain and track overall project schedule and create 2–3 week lookaheads to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Provide real-time data to PM/Scheduler for schedule maintenance.
  • Ensure site safety requirements are met and counsel subcontractors on violations.
  • Lead and coach project team members and establish a strong safety culture.
  • Review drawings and project documents to ensure construction per plans and contract.
