Job summary

ArborMetrics is seeking a Work Planner for outdoor vegetation management work in the Lafayette area. You will drive to sites, inspect vegetation, collect data on tablets, and use forestry software to track progress. Strong independent work habits and safety focus are essential.

Role requires GIS and MS Office proficiency, ability to work alone in various weather conditions, and effective communication with clients and team members. Company benefits and growth opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of tree species identification, hazard tree assessment, invasive species management, and understanding of tree growth patterns.
• Ability to hike/walk Right-of-Ways (ROW's) and drive for extended periods of time.
• Knowledgeable about Utility Vegetation Management practices.
• Experience with GIS software/technology as well as Microsoft Suite and an iPhone.

Responsibilities

• Safety & Compliance: Identify and report safety hazards, incidents, and unsafe conditions.
• Field Operations: Safely drive to work sites and hike rights-of-way (up to 10 miles/day).
• Customer & Stakeholder Relations: Address customer concerns and communicate with stakeholders.
• Emergency Response & Other Responsibilities: Participate in storm and emergency response duties as needed.
