Job summary

Hensel Phelps is seeking an Office Engineer to support field operations and project administration on our Texas projects. You will help maintain the project schedule, manage submittals and RFIs, and coordinate with BIM/VDC teams to ensure accurate drawings and data flow.

The role requires a 4-year construction-related degree, at least 1 year of experience, and a valid driver’s license. You will interact with trade partners and assist with cost and safety efforts on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's-level degree in a construction-related field and relevant work experience.
• 1 year of experience in construction administration or similar role.
• Valid Driver’s License and ability to work on job sites.

Responsibilities

• Support field to maintain project schedule and sequencing.
• Supervise trade partner employees in submittal and shop drawing process.
• Review and approve submittals, shop drawings, and product data.
• Create and process RFIs with practical, solution-oriented approach.
• Manage subcontract bonds, insurance, pay apps, and change orders.
• Gather data for monthly owner pay applications and margin analysis.
• Participate in safety meetings and trend reporting.
• Support BIM/VDC coordination and review coordinated shop drawings.
• Collaborate with project team to ensure project goals are met.
