Job summary

O C VACUUM INC is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily coordination of environmental and industrial field services. You will manage personnel, equipment, scheduling, safety, regulatory compliance, project execution, and profitability while delivering excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate is organized, decisive, safety-focused, and comfortable in a fast-paced setting with shifting priorities.

Qualifications

Minimum five years in operations, environmental/industrial services or similar.
Experience supervising field crews and coordinating trucks and heavy equipment.
Working knowledge of hazardous-waste transportation and safety requirements.
Strong scheduling, communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word; scheduling software.
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
HAZWOPER, confined-space, or DOT certifications preferred.
Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee all operational aspects of the business.
Set strategic and operational goals.
Improve efficiency and profitability through systems and processes.
Ensure crews arrive with equipment, PPE, permits, and docs.
Maintain compliance with DOT, DTSC, OSHA/Cal/OSHA and hazardous-waste transport rules.
Monitor job progress, labor hours, equipment use and costs.
Handle operational issues, emergencies, and changes.
Verify daily reports, manifests, timecards, and receipts.
Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management.
Maintain safety culture while meeting schedules and finances.
Be available for after-hours or emergency coordination.
