Job summary

WM is seeking a qualified Operations Manager Trainee to lead onboarding, development, mentoring, and performance management of drivers and helpers. The role involves substantial field activity, building positive relationships with frontline staff and ensuring safety is a top priority.

Qualifications

Associate's degree required; in lieu of degree, relevant work experience.
High school diploma with two years of related work experience.
Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the U.S.
Valid driver's license required at time of hire.

Responsibilities

Onboard, coach, mentor, and manage performance of frontline drivers and helpers.
Hold daily meetings with new frontline employees to support onboarding.
Provide timely, consistent feedback and coaching to improve daily performance.
Review safety practices and ensure compliance with regulations and WM standards.
Document records for regulatory agencies and review route operation documents daily.
Visit customer sites to identify safety issues and explore service alternatives.
