Job summary

Doña Ana County is seeking a Field Operations and Maintenance Tech for the Flood Commission to perform routine inspections, maintenance, and operation of flood-control infrastructure. You will utilize light and medium equipment, assist with weather-system installations, and maintain grounds in accordance with safety and regulatory standards.

The role requires a high school diploma, two years’ construction maintenance experience, and a CDL Class A within 12 months of hire.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of full-time construction maintenance experience.
• CDL Class A within 12 months of hire; pest certifications as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on flood control structures.
• Operate light to medium equipment to repair and maintain facilities.
• Assist with installation and maintenance of flood warning system infrastructure.
• Attend on-site trainings and adhere to safety SOPs.
• Read construction plans and as-built drawings for restoration back to design condition.
• Operate robotic conduit camera and document findings.
