Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of department rules, regulations and EMS protocols.
• Ability to organize, coordinate and supervise the work of others under stress.
• Must possess a valid Virginia driver's license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Work at stations and respond to fire and rescue calls with emergency equipment.
• Instruct and coordinate training programs for career and volunteer organizations.
• Oversee and supervise fire suppression activities and EMS care.
• Direct the activities of personnel during calls and in quarters on shift.
• Supervise shift personnel and report to Senior Staff.
