Job summary

AFE is seeking a Supervising EMS Officer to ensure on-duty crews have resources, handle transfer requests, and guide field personnel. The role blends frontline supervision with administrative duties and requires strong leadership and EMS operations knowledge.

Responsibilities include coordinating logistics, managing schedules, and mentoring staff. Experience in clinical/field operations and adherence to VT/EMS protocols is essential for successful performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum: 3 years EMS provider experience
• Demonstrated leadership or supervision capability
• Ability to mentor and evaluate field personnel

Responsibilities

• Ensure adequate resources for on-duty crews and transfer requests
• Oversee scheduling and administrative tasks for field operations
• Lead ICS responsibilities for smaller incidents and ensure policy compliance
• Coordinate logistics: clinical supplies, uniforms, fleet, equipment, safety
• Manage team staffing for events, wilderness rescue, and tactical medicine
