Job summary

Verizon Communications is seeking a Field Operations Manager to lead day-to-day operations of a field crew responsible for maintaining and installing Verizon's Network in the New York area. You will coach and develop your team, promote safe and excellent customer service, and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic service environment.

You will guide union-represented staff, drive performance against metrics, conduct appraisals, and ensure compliance with safety and training requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of work experience.
• 4+ years of relevant experience, with cross-functional leadership.
• Experience managing and leading cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage day-to-day operations of a field crew maintaining Verizon's Network.
• Coach, motivate and develop team; ensure safe, high-quality service delivery.
• Lead union-represented staff and promote outstanding customer service.
• Prioritize tasks amid changing environments and service needs.
• Conduct performance appraisals and provide feedback.
• Oversee installation, maintenance, and construction of network services.
• Analyze data trends to identify root causes and propose solutions.
• Travel within geography; overnight stays possible.
