Qualdoc is seeking a CDL-A Heavy Equipment Operator to support specialized railroad field operations across the region. This role mixes equipment transport, heavy machinery operation, and hands-on fieldwork at emergency job sites.

You will work mostly in-field operations with about 10% driving; the balance involves operating cranes, loaders, and other heavy equipment while maintaining safety and quality on site. Eligible candidates must be willing for 24/7 on-call assignments and overtime.

Competenze

• Valid Class A CDL with a good driving record.
• Construction, industrial labor, or similar hands-on work experience.
• Physically demanding outdoor work.
• Ability to operate various heavy equipment and construction machinery.
• Willingness to complete required safety training and assessments.
• Must be available for emergency on-call 24/7, including weekends and holidays.

Mansioni

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and equipment per DOT regulations and procedures.
• Drive tractor-trailers to transport machinery, tools, and materials to job sites.
• Inspect loads and verify overweight/oversized permits.
• Participate in safety briefings and review work plans daily.
• Load, unload, move, and position equipment and materials at sites.
• Assist with lifting, recovery, and railroad construction activities.
• Operate cranes and other heavy machinery as qualified.
• Secure chains, cables, and winches during recovery operations.
• Monitor equipment condition and report mechanical issues.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and minor repairs.
