Job summary

Cable One in the United States is seeking a seasoned leader for our field operations team. You will drive daily performance, guide supervisors and technicians, and ensure we fulfill our promise of reliable internet, phone, and video services.

You will hire and mentor a high-performing crew, oversee installation and maintenance activities, and maintain safety and regulatory standards while coordinating with city officials and contractors.

Qualifications

• Experienced leading a technical operations team in telecom.
• Strong knowledge of operating a fiber-optic network.
• Exposure to sales, marketing, engineering, and accounting practices.
• Further education beyond high school preferred; Associate or Bachelor’s favored.
• Technical aptitude to adapt to product improvements for customers.
• Familiarity with FCC regulations, testing, and documentation.
• Resilient leadership with clear communication and organization.
• Proficient in MS Teams, Power BI and Excel for data review.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations teams to meet daily performance goals aligned with exceptional customer service.
• Hire, train, and develop a high-functioning team with defined career paths.
• Oversee installations, maintenance and repair for quality and efficiency.
• Maintain safety and compliance, provide safety equipment and enforce rules.
• Assist in resolving complex customer issues and escalated technical repairs.
• Ensure timely network outage resolution and adherence to standards.
• Engage with communities by attending meetings and building relationships.
• Manage contractor utilization and budgetary controls.
• Handle CIR, P&L and purchase order processing as needed.
