Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Foreperson to ensure productive daily operations and manage recruiting needs, deadlines, and safety protocols for the crew. The role involves troubleshooting site issues, training, and mentoring employees and contractors on required tasks.

You will coordinate with management, promote customer relations, and enforce safety standards while controlling crew costs and reporting on work completed and incidents.

Qualifications

• Understanding drawings and symbols representing lines, voltages, line equipment, etc.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to adapt to field requirements and work independently.
• Ability to drive an approved company vehicle.
• Ability to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Weight limit of approximately 300 pounds for safety.
• No fear of heights.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew after orders from a General Foreperson/Line Clearance Supervisor.
• Conducts field training and retraining for crew on new or revised job units.
• Enforces safety practices per OSHA and company policies; conducts safety training.
• Discusses access, power interruption, work scope, and property issues with owners/customers.
• Obtains permission from property owners to perform work.
• Maintain customer relations through effective completion of work and crew conduct.
• Investigates minor incident reports and damage claims when delegated.
• Maintains records, timesheets, and crew operation reports.
• Controls crew costs and efficient use of resources.
• Provides reports to General Foreperson and utility reps on orders and crew performance.
• Furnishes incident and property damage reports; coordinates with responders as needed.
• Cooperates with customers, police, and fire departments when blocking streets or driveways.
• Sets up barriers and safety measures to protect employees and the public.
• Inspects and arranges repairs for tools, trucks, and equipment.
• Maintains good housekeeping on truck and work locations.
• Responsible for DOT maintenance and inspection on vehicles.
