Job summary

LeChase Construction seeks a capable field operations lead to manage small to midsize projects with 1–3 team members. You’ll develop and lead field operations to meet project goals for LeChase and customers.

Responsibilities include planning labor, equipment and subcontractor use, maintaining daily PM communications, and coordinating across pre-, during, and post-construction phases. Strong safety focus and cost control are essential to success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Vocational and/or college diploma desirable.
• Technical, mechanical, electrical, communication and leadership training also desirable.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and direct efficient use of labor, equipment, materials and subcontractors to ensure safe, high-quality construction at minimum cost.
• Maintain daily communications with the project manager regarding status of job.
• Coordinate pre-construction through post-construction work and team responsibilities.
• Study project drawings, specifications, schedules and scopes prior to construction.
• Initiate and maintain a three-week schedule; report status and costs weekly.
• Ensure foremen and crews understand daily goals and monitor productivity and costs.
• Conduct safety huddles and supervise safety program implementation.
• Oversee foremen, crews and equipment performance; coordinate with Director of Field Operations.
• Inspect materials for quality and coordinate deliveries and storage.
• Ensure accurate paperwork: time sheets, cost codes, reports, purchase orders, safety minutes, etc.
• Inform PM of significant scope changes and monitor change orders.
