Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks an Associate Electronics Engineer – Field Operations or Electronics Engineer – Field Operations for our Palmdale/Edwards, CA site. The role supports the Avionics Integration Organization and requires on-site work with up to 25% travel.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 0–2 years for Associate Electronics; 2+ years for Engineer or a Master’s with 0 years.
Active in-Scope US Government Secret clearance.
Ability to obtain and maintain SAP/PAR access.
Experience with Windows and Unix operating systems.
Experience with VmWare virtualization.

Responsibilities

Perform datacenter hardware/software installation, configuration, and testing for new systems and upgrades.
Physically construct rack-based datacenter systems focusing on safety and reliability.
Install system interconnect cabling for communications, networking, and interfaces.
Interpret and audit released engineering drawings.
Integrate software components (Windows, Unix, VMware, networking) in host environments.
Troubleshoot software/hardware across networks with customer SMEs.
Maintain system configurations and document for future support.
Support system changes via established processes.
Provide on-site software/hardware support to end-users.
