Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Staff Electronics Engineer – Communications Field Liaison to join our Palmdale, CA team. You will work on LOS/BLOS systems, AESA antennas, and RF subsystems in an IPT environment, travelling up to 25% as needed.

The role requires a STEM degree with extensive engineering experience, strong RF and systems integration skills, and the ability to coordinate across operations, engineering, and customer teams to ensure successful delivery and field

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with 12+ years of related engineering experience; or Master’s with 10+ years; or PhD with 9+ years.
• Strong understanding of RF signal chains and system-level integration of communications components.
• Experience in communications system integration and RF hardware testing.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on work with LOS and BLOS communication systems and AESA antenna systems.
• Report subsystem status, identify risks, and support schedule and cost control.
• Act as Field Liaison between operations, engineering, and customers for issue resolution.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and test reports for program requirements.
• Coordinate interface changes, risks, and corrective actions with stakeholders.
• Provide training and operational support to field personnel and customer reps.
