Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Staff Field Engineer to support on-site work at Edwards AFB, CA, Palmdale, CA, or Oklahoma City, OK. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in STEM with extensive related experience.
• Experience in aviation systems and subsystems required.
• Able to read and follow technical manuals and repair manuals.
• Strong collaboration with design engineers and other aerospace roles.
• Active U.S. Government Secret clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and resolve engineering production problems related to manufacturing, design, quality and materials.
• Analyze specifications/drawings; confer with engineers, quality, material and subcontractors.
• Investigate defective parts and test conformance of components.
• Redline drawings for newly designed parts and subsystems.
• Facilitate retrofit/modification activities and provide field training to technicians.
• Brief leadership and customers on issues; assign work to team.
