Job summary

The City of Richmond’s Water Utility – Field Operations Division is seeking a Field Operations Coordinator to manage dispatch, service orders, and communications for internal and external customers. The role follows an 8:00am – 4:00pm shift and is designated as Essential Personnel, requiring availability during emergencies or hazardous conditions.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma or GED with at least two years of related experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Two years related experience required.
• Equivalent combination of training and experience may be accepted.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls for service, including emergencies and non-emergencies.
• Generate and dispatch service orders to crews.
• Monitor workloads and completion of service orders.
• Close service orders and maintain records.
• Create daily workload and gas-related reports.
• Submit reports to management.
• Prepare staffing sheets and manage daily staffing of crews.
• Document and track employee call-outs and vacations.
