Job summary

South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation Department seeks a supervisory professional to support field operations, address performance and safety concerns, and coordinate with HR on investigations. The role involves overseeing progress toward program goals and updating annual field office plans.

You will join the Senior Management team to influence quality initiatives and funding agreements, with statewide travel as required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree with four years of rehabilitation experience.
• Supervisor experience with SCVRD and statewide travel required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Field Operations in addressing employee performance, productivity, conduct, and safety concerns.
• Coordinate with the Director of Field Operations, HR, and Employee Relations Manager to investigate and resolve concerns fairly.
• Monitor progress toward goals for each area/program and recommend actions when results lag.
• Review annual planning documents for field office positions and update as needed.
• Participate on the Commissioner's Senior Management team and contribute to quality initiatives and performance measures.
• Manage MOU/IFA communications and quarterly SC Works cost sharing invoices across SC's workforce areas.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Field Operations or Chief of Staff.

Job description

This position will report to the Director of Field Operations and be responsible for the following:

• Support the Director of Field Operations in addressing employee performance, productivity, conduct, and safety related concerns.
• In coordination with the Director of Field Operations, personnel related issues will be addressed appropriately and promptly. Work with the Director of Human Resources and Employee Relations Manager to ensure that concerns are properly investigated and recommendations are fair and consistent.
• In coordination with the Director of Field Operations, monitor progress towards achievement of assigned goals and objectives for each area/program and recommend action when results do not meet established expectations.
• Review planning documents for field office positions on an annual basis for necessary revisions/updates.
• Participate on the Commissioner's Senior Management team. Provide leadership and input into strategies for successful attainment of quality initiatives and WIOA Common Performance Measures.
• Serve as the Memorandum of Understanding and Infrastructure Funding Agreement (MOU/IFA) Manager. Facilitate and coordinate all communication regarding MOU/IFA’s and quarterly SC Works cost sharing invoices with the twelve workforce development areas around the State of South Carolina.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Field Operations and/or Chief of Staff.
