Job summary

The South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation Department is seeking a qualified leader to support field operations by addressing employee performance, productivity, conduct, and safety concerns. The role involves coordinating with HR, investigating issues, and ensuring fair recommendations across programs.

You will monitor progress toward goals, review annual planning for field offices, and participate in senior management discussions to advance quality initiatives and performance measures.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling, Counseling, or Psychology.
• Four years of rehabilitation experience.
• Supervisor experience with SCVRD and statewide travel required.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Field Operations in addressing employee performance, productivity, conduct, and safety concerns.
• Coordinate with the Director of Field Operations, Human Resources and Employee Relations to investigate and recommend fair actions.
• Monitor progress toward goals for each area/program and advise when results fall short of expectations.
• Review planning documents for field office positions annually and update as needed.
• Participate on the Commissioner's Senior Management team and contribute to quality initiatives and WIOA performance measures.
• Serve as MOU/IFA Manager and coordinate communications and invoices with SC works regions.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Field Operations and/or Chief of Staff.

Job Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Field Operations in addressing employee performance, productivity, conduct, and safety related concerns.
• In coordination with the Director of Field Operations, personnel related issues will be addressed appropriately and promptly. Work with the Director of Human Resources and Employee Relations Manager to ensure that concerns are properly investigated and recommendations are fair and consistent.
• In coordination with the Director of Field Operations, monitor progress towards achievement of assigned goals and objectives for each area/program and recommend action when results do not meet established expectations.
• Review planning documents for field office positions on an annual basis for necessary revisions/updates.
• Participate on the Commissioner's Senior Management team. Provide leadership and input into strategies for successful attainment of quality initiatives and WIOA Common Performance Measures.
• Serve as the Memorandum of Understanding and Infrastructure Funding Agreement (MOU/IFA) Manager. Facilitate and coordinate all communication regarding MOU/IFA’s and quarterly SC Works cost sharing invoices with the twelve workforce development areas around the State of South Carolina.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Director of Field Operations and/or Chief of Staff.
