Job summary

South Carolina Vocational Rehabilitation Department is seeking a Training Center professional responsible for delivering job readiness training and supporting the development of essential job-related skills to help consumers achieve competitive employment.

The role involves ensuring regulatory compliance, assisting with inventory and materials in the SCEIS system, and supporting a safe, productive training environment for staff and participants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, the behavioral sciences or a related field; or two years of college in one of the above fields and two years of rehabilitation or manufacturing experience; or high school diploma and four years of rehabilitation or manufacturing experience. Good driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Provide job readiness training to consumers to achieve and maintain competitive employment.
• Provide supportive training to develop, modify, and improve job-relevant skills and behaviors for successful employment outcomes.
• Instruct consumers to meet deadlines and meet business partners’ quality/quantity requirements.
• Assist in ensuring the Training Center complies with SCVRD, DOL, and OSHA regulations for a safe and clean environment.
• Serve as a member of the SCEIS team for training center transactions in materials, inventory, and deliveries within the SCEIS system.

• You will, under the direction of the Center Manager, be responsible for providing job readiness training to consumers in order for the consumers to achieve and maintain competitive employment.
• You will provide supportive training to develop, modify, and improve appropriate job-relevant skills and behaviors leading to successful employment outcomes.
• You will instruct consumers in the achievement of meeting deadlines, and meeting business partners/employers' quality/quantity requirements.
• You will assist in ensuring that the Training Center is in compliance with all SCVRD, DOL, and OSHA regulations providing a safe and clean training/work environment for consumers and staff.
• You will serve as a member of the South Carolina Enterprise Information System (SCEIS) team for training center, completing all transactions assigned by Center Manager in regard to materials, inventory, and deliveries within the SCEIS system.
