Job summary

Kiewit in Texas is seeking an Entry Level Engineer to support field and office teams on water infrastructure projects. You will gain hands-on experience in drawings interpretation, takeoffs, scheduling, and cost data while contributing to safety and quality on site.

You will be part of a district focused on water facilities with opportunities for travel and professional growth across a national program. A civil engineering degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel and relocate to cities as business requires, as we operate on a national scale.
• Undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering, construction management or related degree.
• Infrastructure/Heavy Civil project experience is preferred.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision.
• Perform quantity takeoffs and basic calculations to support field operations.
• Assist in preparing work plans, packages, and job hazard analyses.
• Enter data into the job cost system and help review cost reports.
• Assist in generating change orders and as-built data for the Project Manager.
• Support procurement and subcontract administration as requested.
