Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an entry-level engineer to support field operations in Water Facilities South. The role involves interpreting drawings, performing takeoffs, and assisting with plans, scheduling, and cost data across diverse infrastructure projects.

You'll gain hands-on experience in field engineering, estimating, and project coordination while working with a safety-focused, collaborative team committed to quality and career growth.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or graduate degree in civil engineering, construction management or related degree.
• Willingness to travel and relocate to different cities as business requires.
• Infrastructure/Heavy Civil project experience is preferred.
• Must have a valid Driver’s License.
• Demonstrated commitment to ethics and integrity.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision.
• Perform quantity takeoffs, measurements, and time studies.
• Assist in preparing work plans, packages, and scheduling.
• Assist in field surveying and as-built data collection.
• Assist in preparing submittals, purchase orders, and cost data.
• Support both field and office engineering activities as described by supervisors.
