Job summary

Kiewit is seeking an Entry Level Field Engineer to support field and office activities across transportation and water projects in the Southeast. You will help interpret drawings, perform takeoffs, assist with layout and surveying, and coordinate deliveries while ensuring safety and quality on job sites.

The role requires willingness to travel/relocate as projects demand and a strong work ethic in a dynamic construction environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related engineering field.
• Willingness to travel and relocate as projects require.
• Ability to work in a heavy civil construction environment.
• Strong ethics, safety mindset, and proactiveness.

Responsibilities

• Interpret drawings and specifications for field crews and supervision.
• Perform quantity calculations and measure progress of work.
• Prepare work plans, packages, and field surveys/layout support.
• Coordinate material deliveries and jobsite scheduling.
• Supervise field operations and assist with safety reviews.
