Job summary

Garmac Limited LLC is seeking a Field Support Technician to coordinate and execute field service operations across the Virginia region. This role handles installations, deployments, and on-site support while collaborating with operations leaders, project managers, and field staff.

You will document issues, plan follow-ups, and escalate barriers to maintain service quality. The position requires hands‑on experience with cabling, networking gear, and testing tools, plus a valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• Must have data communications experience.
• Proficient with cable testers, fiber testers, and testing tools.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Manage field service operations for installations, deliveries, deployments and technical support.
• Document issues, create action plans, track progress and escalate as needed.
• Support project planning, resource allocation and task delegation to meet goals and SLAs.
• Install, service, upgrade, troubleshoot and repair low‑voltage cabling infrastructure and network equipment.
• Install and test network devices including switches, routers, firewalls, phones and computers.
• Provide hardware break‑fix support for network infrastructure and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Complete required documentation for time reporting, billing, and SLA adherence.
