Job summary

AllSearch Staffing Group is seeking an Outside Sales Engineer in Torrance, CA, to manage an existing customer base, reactivate dormant accounts, and expand the territory with technical sales and application support. This role combines field sales with hands-on product knowledge and demonstrations.

You will travel frequently, engage with customers on motors, drives, and motion-control solutions, and collaborate with engineering teams to tailor recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Technical education or hands-on experience involving engineering applications or related technical products.
• Willingness to travel frequently, including overnight travel about two weeks per month.
• Onsite work at the Torrance, CA office when not traveling.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop an assigned territory of existing customer accounts, including dormant account reactivation and account expansion.
• Conduct customer site visits to evaluate equipment, application requirements, and technical specifications.
• Recommend electric motors, motor drives, actuators, and motion-control solutions for industrial automation and machinery applications.
• Collaborate with application engineering and technical support teams on product selection, system compatibility, and application requirements.
• Review customer drawings, equipment specifications, and technical documentation to prepare quotations and product recommendations.
• Coordinate customer service, technical support, product inquiries, and application-related issue resolution.
• Deliver technical product demonstrations, customer training, and product presentations.
• Support distributors through product training, joint customer visits, and technical sales assistance.
• Maintain customer account information, sales opportunities, forecasts, quotations, and activity reports in CRM systems.
• Manage territory sales objectives, customer account development, and follow-up activities.
• Travel throughout the assigned territory and work onsite in Torrance when not traveling.
