Job summary

Trust Automation, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer to act as the customer-facing ambassador for our field support initiatives.

You will troubleshoot, repair, and commission systems in the field, interfacing with Sales, Engineering, and Product Sustainment teams, and performing Linux-based server configurations during field deployments. The role requires strong communication, the ability to read engineering drawings, and a willingness to travel 50–75%, including weekends.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or an Associate’s with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong customer service mindset and communication skills.
• Ability to travel 50–75% with short notice, including weekends.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Eligibility to obtain DoD security clearance.
• Valid CA driver's license and eligible US Passport.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and service field deployed Trust Automation components and systems, including Linux-based servers.
• Gain hands-on familiarity with motion control system design, construction, testing and operation.
• Direct customer contact and manage expectations while maintaining Trust Automation’s professional image.
• Coordinate RMA planning and logistics for rapid deployment and repair turnaround.
• Report findings to Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to improve reliability and processes.
• Travel frequently, domestically and internationally, often on short notice.
