Job summary

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC, the largest Kenworth truck dealership group in North America, seeks a Mobile Diesel Service Technician / Mechanic to perform heavy-duty truck repairs at customer sites in the Dallas area. You will manage repair orders, coordinate with service staff, and pursue opportunities to grow labor sales within assigned accounts.

The position emphasizes safety, customer satisfaction, and efficient service delivery, with benefits including insurance, PTO, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Must be self-motivated and capable of working with little supervision.
• Must have a commitment to customer satisfaction and perform quality repairs.
• Must have excellent communication skills. Must have a positive can-do attitude.
• Necessary tools to perform position responsibilities.
• Class A or B CDL and/or DOT medical card may be required depending upon the size of the mobile service vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine mechanical repairs and maintenance on heavy-duty truck equipment and related components with general supervision.
• Coordinates customer repair orders with Service Manager and Shop Foremen for task assignment.
• Advises customer of needed service work, as well as suggests additional labor, parts and body shop sales whenever possible.
• Follows safe work practices and procedures, uses safety equipment when required, responds to suggestions for working safely.
• Maintains favorable relations with customers.
