Job summary

Allegiant Utility Services seeks a Support Operations Representative/Meter Technician for the Dobson, NC area. You will read and audit meters, connect/disconnect utility service, and perform site safety inspections in outdoor environments while handling meter changes and inventory management.

Daytime, full-time hours with potential overtime. Must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and be able to pass pre-employment checks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Read/Audit electrical meters within Dobson NC.
• Connect/Disconnect utility service.
• Conduct site safety inspections.
• Removal of old electric meter with the Re-Installation of a new electric meter, as needed.
• Performs meter change outs per a specified manner.
• Conduct work through a Work Order system.
• Manage all inventory of new and old Meters.
• Working with utility personnel and utility consumers.
• Responsible use of a company truck and equipment.
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned or required.
