Job summary

Concord Utility Services is hiring entry-level Utility Meter Specialists to install, service, and maintain residential water meters in Washington, NC. Paid training starts immediately, and no prior meter experience is required. This is an outdoor field role with travel between locations and growth opportunities.

You will learn electrical meter installations as projects expand, use handheld devices and the WorkOrderManagementSystem, and work under safety guidelines to deliver quality service.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver''s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to successfully complete required pre-employment screening.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical fieldwork.
• Ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Previous experience helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Install, remove, and service smart water meters.
• Learn and perform electric meter installations as project expands.
• Travel between residential locations throughout the project area.
• Use handheld devices and our WorkOrderManagementSystem (WOMS).
• Replace or repair meter boxes, lids, fittings and related equipment.
• Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Communicate professionally with customers and your team.
• Meet daily productivity and quality expectations.
• Maintain company tools, equipment and work areas.
