What You’ll Be Doing

As a Cardiovascular Utilization Management Reviewer (Interventional Cardiologist), you will leverage your expertise to review cardiovascular cases, ensuring high-value, evidence-based care. Enjoy a flexible, remote work environment that promotes collaboration, learning, and peer discussions.

What You’ll Do

• Review invasive/interventional cardiology cases, including procedures like cardiac catheterizations and implantable devices.
• Engage in peer-to-peer discussions with providers to ensure appropriate care.
• Collaborate with leadership and clinical staff on complex cases.
• Guide and support initial clinical reviewers.
• Provide clinical rationale for appeals and determinations.
• Document communications accurately and timely.
• Participate in ongoing training and research activities.
• Potentially serve as Medical Director for specific regions or health plans, overseeing utilization management.

Qualifications

• MD/DO/MBBS Degree with active, unrestricted license.
• Board certification in Interventional Cardiology or equivalent qualifications.
• Minimum 5 years of cardiology practice preferred.
• Strong clinical, management, communication, and organizational skills.
• Computer proficiency and familiarity with medical guidelines.
• No current exclusions or sanctions.

Technical Requirements

High-speed internet (>10 Mbps) and direct connection to home router required. These requirements may change with office re-openings.
