I’m currently recruiting on behalf of my client, a well-established and growing provider of accredited continuing medical education (CME), for a Principal Medical Writer. This is an exciting remote opportunity for an experienced writer who thrives on transforming complex scientific data into clear, compelling educational content for healthcare professionals.

Role Summary:

As a Principal Medical Writer, you’ll play a critical role in the development of scientifically rigorous, engaging content for a wide range of CME/CE initiatives. You’ll collaborate closely with internal teams, faculty, and clinical experts to ensure the creation of impactful, evidence-based programs that meet educational gaps and align with adult learning principles.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the writing and development of CME materials including slides, video scripts, and digital assets
• Conduct thorough literature reviews, needs assessments, and gap analyses
• Ensure scientific accuracy, clarity, and alignment with learning objectives
• Collaborate cross-functionally with editors, designers, and project managers
• Liaise with faculty/KOLs to gather insights and manage content development
• Contribute to proposals and outcomes reporting with scientific support

Qualifications:

• Advanced degree in life sciences (PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent preferred)
• 3+ years of experience in medical writing, ideally within CME/CE
• In-depth knowledge of ACCME guidelines and adult learning principles
• Exceptional research, writing, and editing skills
• Strong project management and collaboration experience in a remote setting
• Microsoft Office, PubMed, EndNote
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Strategic thinker with high attention to detail
