Field Medical Director, Interventional Cardiology (Remote)

Join Evolent as a Field Medical Director, Interventional Cardiology, and leverage your expertise in interventional cardiology to impact patient care in a non-clinical setting. This remote role offers flexibility, collaboration, and opportunities to contribute to high-value, evidence-based case reviews.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert reviews for cardiovascular cases, including invasive/interventional procedures, ensuring compliance with medical necessity guidelines.
• Conduct peer-to-peer discussions with treating providers to promote appropriate, high-quality care.
• Collaborate with leadership and clinical staff to support decision-making on complex cases.
• Guide and mentor Initial Clinical Reviewers, ensuring adherence to best practices.
• Document communications and participate in ongoing training to maintain inter-rater reliability.
• Assist in research activities related to utilization management and, if needed, serve as Medical Director for specific regions or plans.

Qualifications

• MD/DO/MBBS with current, unrestricted license.
• Board Certified in Interventional Cardiology or equivalent qualifications.
• Minimum 5 years of cardiology practice preferred.
• Strong clinical, management, and communication skills.
• Proficiency with medical review guidelines and clinical documentation.
• Ability to work remotely with reliable high-speed internet.

Additional Details
