Job summary

Plains seeks a Junior Mechanical Technician to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on pumps, valves, engines, and tank systems at field facilities across our U.S. operations, often outdoors in extreme heat or cold.

You’ll keep maintenance records in Maximo and assist with alignments, lubrication and minor repairs while adhering to safety policies. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma (or equivalent), is or will be in a related trades apprenticeship, and can read drawings and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Enrolled or completing a related trades apprenticeship preferred.
• Ability to read drawings, schematics and manuals in English.

Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance on pumps, valves, engines, motors and tank systems.
• Keeps maintenance records, supports pump-to-motor alignments and minor repairs.
• Works safely in field facilities and follows Plains procedures.
