Job summary

Plains All American is seeking a Junior Mechanical Technician to perform maintenance on pumps, valves, engines, and related equipment in field locations across Texas. You will maintain records, diagnose wear trends, and assist with alignments while following strict safety practices and using CMMS (Maximo).

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and may include 1st-year trades apprenticeship work. Strong teamwork and basic math are essential for daily field operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1st year of related trades apprenticeship or completed program.
• Reading and interpreting drawings, schematics, manuals.
• Good communication and teamwork in a field environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled mechanical maintenance on pumps, engines, valves, and related equipment.
• Maintain maintenance records and assess wear and repair trends.
• Support safety practices and use of protective gear in open field environments.
• Assist with pump-to-motor alignments and regulatory inspections.
• Work in teams to service pipelines, stations, and terminals as needed.
• Operate and document tasks in the CMMS (Maximo) system.
