Job summary

Commonwealth Fusion Systems in the United States seeks a hands-on Manager, Field Mechanical Engineering - Assembly to lead a small team and oversee SPARC assembly stations. You will ensure the plan, tools, and procedures are robust while supporting troubleshooting for first-time and repeat assemblies.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering.
• 2+ years mechanical engineering experience with project ownership.
• 2+ years managing construction, manufacturing or assembly processes.
• 2+ years CAD experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team to plan and deliver on work-station objectives within SPARC Assembly.
• Translate strategy into actionable group objectives and timelines.
• Define and optimize field workflows to improve outcomes and efficiency.
• Oversee station scoping from predecessor to tool implementation.
• Establish best practices for mechanical assembly and alignment.
• Collaborate with SPARC teams on design reviews and changes.
