Job summary

Primoris Energy Services is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Field Engineer to provide on-site mechanical engineering support and oversight for energy infrastructure projects. You will ensure work aligns with design specs, safety standards, and client requirements.

Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, overseeing installation, testing, commissioning, field inspections, and collaboration with project teams to deliver on schedule while maintaining quality and safety on job sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 3+ years of experience in mechanical engineering within the energy services or construction industry.
• Experience in field-based roles on large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and technical specifications.
• Willingness to travel extensively to various project sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site mechanical engineering analysis, troubleshooting, and problem-solving during project execution.
• Review and interpret mechanical drawings, specifications, and vendor documentation.
• Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical equipment, ensuring compliance with design and industry standards.
• Conduct field inspections, identify potential issues, and recommend corrective actions.
• Collaborate with project managers, construction teams, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project delivery.
• Prepare detailed field reports, progress updates, and technical documentation.
• Assist in the development and implementation of quality control procedures for mechanical systems.
• Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and company policies on job sites.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings and provide technical input.
• Support the resolution of mechanical design and construction conflicts.
